Lyrics of Can't Believe by Nancy Martin

shoobiedoowa
can't believe (x3)

I was walking down the street
walking on a steady beat

sudddenly I saw my feet
start to dance and make me free

I know you can do it
everybody can do it
everybody can do it

it could happen
it could happen anyday

shoobiedoowa
can't believe (x4)

I was taken by surprise
I could not believe my eyes
what I just realized
a funky dance will get you high

I know you can do it
everybody can do it
everybody can do it

it could happen
it could happen anyday

shoobiedoowa
can't believe (x6)

I was taken by surprise
I could not believe my eyes
what I just realized
a funky dance will get you high

I know you can do it
everybody can do it
everybody can do it

it could happen
it could happen anyday

Nancy Martin's first solo release was "Can't Believe". The song spread over Canada like wildfire eventually reaching the U.S. where Atlantic Records picked it up for release. This was her first American hit, but later that year she scored an even bigger success with "I'm Gonna Get Your Love" credited to Jade. Thanks to a Disconet remix (U.S.A.) and versions on Polydor (Canada), Rams Horn (Holland) and Dureco-Benelux (Netherlands) the song became a global sensation. I think it's a huge dancetune.

No Governement - Nicolette

No government is a way of life.
No government means to trust your friends.
I know who I am and you know who you are.

If everybody knew what they wanted,
there'd be nothing, nothing left.
People would do what they wanted,
and there'd be no government.

There'd be no government,
there'd be no government.
People would do what they wanted,
and there'd be no government.

There'd be no government,
there'd be no government.
People would do what they wanted,
and there'd be no government.

Life has me tempting, refreshing me,
making me stretch.
My body is flowing and happy
and feeling refreshed.

My choices, believe me, are infinite easy.
Exciting and mystical choices before me.
They tell me my life is a journey in no government.

If everybody lived in their bodies,
we'd have so much, so much time.
Touching would be such a pass-time,
and we'd have such lazy days.

We'd have such lazy days,
for we'd kiss them away.
People would worship eachother,
and we'd have loose, lazy ways.

No government is an easy time.
No government is an exciting life.
We'd work for ourselves,
and we'd love for ourselves,
and for no government.

There'd be no suffering.
There'd be no government.
People would see and let them be,
and we'd have no government.

There'd be no government,
there'd be no government.
People will see and let them be,
and will be no government.

No government is a way of life.

This Drum and Bass song from 1995, released on Giles Petterson and Norman Jay's Talkin' Loud label was an instant classic. It was featured on the Mission Impossible soundtrack. No Governement is written by the singer Nicolette. Nicolette is born in Glasgow, Scotland. Her first language was Ibo, as her parents were Nigerian.
Nicolette Suwoton has her own label, called Early Records.
The song No Governemet gained renewed attention due to the freshly released Tocadisco Remix. The Tocadisco remix adds a darker tone to the original, giving it a deeper listening sensation. You can hear the Tocadisco remix of No Governement on Nicolette's Myspace. Tocadisco is a German DJ and producer. His name, Tocadisco, is spanish for turntable. Be sure to visit his myspace. Nat King Cole - The Christmas Song.

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire,
Jack Frost nipping on your nose,
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir,
And folks dressed up like Eskimos.

Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe,
Help to make the season bright.
Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow,
Will find it hard to sleep tonight.

They know that Santa's on his way;
He's loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh.
And every mother's child is going to spy,
To see if reindeer really know how to fly.

And so I'm offering this simple phrase,
To kids from one to ninety-two,
Although its been said many times, many ways,
A very Merry Christmas to you

Covered by a lot of artists, like Celine Dion and Jessica Simpson, recently, this is for a lot of people the ultimate Christmas Song. With this classic carol, I wish all the readers of my blog happy holidays.

Bobby Brown - Frank Zappa

Hey there, people, Im bobby brown
They say Im the cutest boy in town
My car is fast, my teeth is shiney
I tell all the girls they can kiss my heinie
Here I am at a famous school
Im dressin sharp n im
Actin cool
I got a cheerleader here wants to help with my paper
Let her do all the work n maybe later Ill rape her

Oh God I am the american dream
I do not think Im too extreme
An Im a handsome sonofabitch
Im gonna get a good job n be real rich

(get a good
Get a good
Get a good
Get a good job)

Womens liberation
Came creepin across the nation
I tell you people I was not ready
When I fucked this dyke by the name of freddie
She made a little speech then,
Aw, she tried to make me say when
She had my balls in a vice, but she left the dick
I guess its still hooked on, but now it shoots too quick

Oh God I am the american dream
But now I smell like vaseline
An Im a miserable sonofabitch
Am I a boy or a lady...i dont know which

(I wonder wonder
Wonder wonder)

So I went out n bought me a leisure suit
I jingle my change, but Im still kinda cute
Got a job doin radio promo
An none of the jocks can even tell Im a homo
Eventually me n a friend
Sorta drifted along into s&m
I can take about an hour on the tower of power
long as I gets a little golden shower

Oh God I am the american dream
With a spindle up my butt till it makes me scream
An Ill do anything to get ahead
I lay awake nights sayin, thank you, fred!
Oh god, oh god, Im so fantastic!
Thanks to freddie, Im a sexual spastic
And my name is bobby brown
Watch me now, Im goin down,
And my name is bobby brown
Watch me now, Im goin down, etc.

It's Frank Zappa's bithday today: 67 years. Unfortunately he died of cancer in 1993. This is the first song I ever heard of Frank Zappa. Zappa was a multitalented musical genius, who composed, produced, performed and marketed his music. He has a huge discography and is an infleunce to a lot of young artists. There is a huge community that keeps Frank Zappa's spirit alive.

Carla Bruni - Juste Une Minute

A wonderful song by French-Italian topmodel and singer songwriter Carla Bruni. She has a kind of grained voice that makes her sound funique. She released two CD's: "Quelqu'un m' a dit" and "Lost promises". Next to the catwalk, she became famous for having affairs with stars like Mick Jagger, Eric Clapton, Donald Trump, Kevin Costner and Vincent Pérez.
A few days ago, she was photographed alongside Mr. Sarkozy, the French president, during a visit in Disneyland Paris.
Watch the clip and a live perfomance of the song. Her father was former shareholder of the Pirelli holding.

Waldeck - Make My Day

You know how to turn me on,
oh you got it going on,
baby you can make my day.

Come on, get down with me,
we can dance the night away,
baby, you can make my day.

Nothing's going to stop us now,
we can get down anyhow,
come on, baby make my day.

Come on, come on put the radio on,
turn it up; the neighbour's gone,
you can make my day.

You know how to turn me on, oh you got it going on
baby you can make my day.

Come on, come on, put the radio on,
turn it up; the neighbour's gone,
you can make my day.
Come on, come on put the radio on,
turn it up; the neighbour's gone,
you can make my day!
